Wonderland | Suite for Helen | Three Part Harmonies

Wonderland is inspired from the story “Alice In Wonderland”. It has always been my favorite story, particularly because of the many images that present themselves to my imagination when reading it. This work consists of multiple canvases that may be viewed as 5 separate triptychs, or as a whole mosaic of 15 paintings hung together.

The triptychs are titled for particular parts of the story that have always appealed to me: falling down the rabbit hole, the garden of the talking flowers, the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, the cup from which Alice drinks, and the striped shirts of Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee. When all triptychs are hung together, the whole becomes the “Wonderland” of my own mind.
