Artists gathered a second time for the New Life exhibit at Gallery Western, with the concept of taking remnants and trash from our society and rediscover how it can be brought to life again through art. Again, they hope to present through art how objects can be brought to life again, to treasure what might have been lost but instead is renewed.
Kaman again used old clothes. In one, she re-created old dresses into a kimono-inspired hanging. In the second piece, she used the pattern of a geometric checkerboard to take old dress fabrics and transform them into what came to represent a shamanistic hanging.
